The Legend of Sun and Moon

Then the gods said:

-¡Ea As Nanahuatzin! Now you try it! And this God, he closed his eyes and threw himself into the fire.

When Tecuciztécatl saw Nanahuatzin was thrown into the fire, he was ashamed of his cowardice and also threw.

After the gods looked eastward and said:

-for There appears Nanahuatzin Made Sol. And it was true.

Nobody could look that hurt his eyes.

And he sheds rays shone everywhere. After Tecuciztécatl made moon appeared.

In the same order they entered the fire, appeared in the sky gods made Sun and Moon.

Since then there day and night in the world.
